Do You Want the Soft Chair or the Hard Chair?

You would think it’s such an easy choice. So why in life do we often choose the hard chair when the soft one is right next to it?

One Saturday I attended a child development training for 5 hours.  I chose a hard plastic chair in the middle row of the class.  Although the class information was interesting and useful, my back and bottom became a bit sore, and I started feeling quite uncomfortable.

I soon realized that the chair right next to me by the wall was empty, and it had some padding on it! I was sure that it couldn’t be that much better than the classroom chair I was in, although it was a computer-style chair.

There was still an hour and a half before the class was over. I figured that I could wait until our last short break before trading chairs.

Oh, well! My strong and slightly impatient side took over, and I sat in the cushy chair.

Oh my gosh! Heavenly comfort supported my backside, and I was disappointed in myself that I had waited so long to enjoy the softness of this chair that had been a couple of feet away.

There are good, comfortable things all around us just for the taking.  However, we do have to make the effort to find and accept them into our lives.

We can’t think that relationships will improve by waiting for someone else to change.  We can’t think finances will improve by simply stating our desires to the “universe” or higher power.  We can’t think we will have wellness by living stressful lifestyles, exposing ourselves to toxins and missing out on adequate sleep.  We can’t improve weight concerns by choosing fast foods frequently over healthier choices and by neglecting exercise.

Sometimes making personal change to improve our lives is simply HARD TO DO!  We have to think, plan and put into actions strategies that will help us succeed.  However, if we have blocks in our energy systems and negative beliefs in our subconscious, life is going to feel like we are always sitting in that hard chair.  It’s going to give us more discomfort and pain than if we are sitting in the soft chair.

Whole energy healing sessions allow you to sit in the soft chair by removing negative blocks and patterns and making it easier for you to succeed with your goals and dreams.  Life will never be totally perfect, but wouldn’t you rather sit in the soft chair than the hard chair?

    Thankyou for the story. I love energy healing and I’m a true believer in it. I would rather be in the soft chair. But I do have a couple road blocks in my life that I’m having a hard time getting over. One is I’m not happy where I’m at in my career, I don’t know for sure where I should be. Also I liked the comment in the story about relationships, about waiting for someone to change. That’s kind of where I’m at also but struggling at is it me/her or both. Thank-you

      Thanks for your reply, Cory. I’ve found that when I focus on improving myself, my relationships always improve. Of course, we can’t change others, we can only change ourselves. My personality is naturally the type that tends to be critical of myself and those close to me. Energy healing has made it easier for me to focus on the good qualities of my spouse and children and appreciate their strengths.

      I only allow posts to be displayed with approval. Not all posts automatically display. This takes some time going through all the comments and then displaying the ones that are most important or possibly helpful to my readers (which are few). I gets plenty of thanks which is good.
