Who's Scribbling on Your Masterpiece?

Author: JenniferMaster1

Imagine you are creating a beautiful picture. You might use watercolors, oils or a pencil for sketching. Your masterpiece may be realistic or more random and adventurous. Now suppose people in your life choose a variety of crayons and scribble here or there on your picture. Does it really matter? Can they contribute to your picture in a haphazard way? Or would you prefer continuing on and designing your picture in a beautiful way that resonates with you?

Every time you let someone else make decisions for you or you don’t speak up for yourself, you are letting others paint on your masterpiece of life. Sometimes you may need guidance and assistance from trusted people in your life. However, to truly be pleased with the way you have designed your own life, you can’t allow others to create your masterpiece whether they are good at art or still in the scribbling stage like a child. You must share your opinions, hopes and dreams with those around you so they can assist you in creating your masterpiece. They may offer suggestions or ideas but not speak for you, make decisions for you or especially push you around!

Maybe you are the one who tends to doodle on other people’s masterpieces. You may love to talk and have so many good things to share that you are constantly offering advice even when no one is asking for it. You may come across a little forceful or pushy by making decisions for others when it’s not your place to. It’s okay to be this personality type who is most likely a leader in their work place or social connections. However, you can “tone” it down a little by offering a different size paintbrush or another shade of paint without feeling that everyone will agree with your choices. Respect others when they choose differently from ideas that you have proposed.

This painting on the upper left is not to show an example of a masterpiece that has been scribbled on. It is a unique perspective and style of artwork. As we are all so unique and different from each other, so is the masterpiece of life we may design. By respecting other opinions, choices and values, we can be confident in our own decisions and choices and allow others to do the same. Remember, don’t let anyone scribble on your masterpiece and don’t scribble on other people’s masterpieces, but do offer help when it’s asked for.

Hey would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re working with? I’m going to start my own blog soon but I’m having a tough time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S Apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!
